Desde el principio tenemos el apoyo de Walo Moreno<\/strong>, un experimentado t\u00e9cnico de campo asociado a la Estaci\u00f3n Biol\u00f3gica de Do\u00f1ana, que actualmente trabaja en el proyecto de recuperaci\u00f3n del guirre. Marta Pe\u00f1a y Jaime Gil.<\/strong> Ambos son ingenieros agr\u00f3nomos y especialistas renombrados en la flora y semillas de las islas canarias. Sus amplios conocimientos no solo abarcan la etnobot\u00e1nica, sino tambi\u00e9n la entomolog\u00eda. En diversas salidas al campo,\u00a0 adem\u00e1s de ense\u00f1arnos una gran variedad de plantas y un n\u00famero incre\u00edble de insectos, tambi\u00e9n hemos aprendido de otros t\u00f3picos interesantes. Tambi\u00e9n son los autores de la Gu\u00eda visual de la flora vascular de la Reserva de la Biosfera de Lanzarote, que es nuestro libro de referencia en el campo.<\/p>\n

Gracias a la profesora Cynthia Burek<\/strong>, Dra. en Geolog\u00eda y profesora de Geoconservaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Chester, Reino Unido, tenemos una importante cooperaci\u00f3n con esta\u00a0 Universidad. Su energ\u00eda y su actitud hicieron posible que a trav\u00e9s de sus alumnos nos revelaran mucha informaci\u00f3n nueva e interesante sobre El Jable. La anglo-holandesa Astrid Marsh<\/strong>, bi\u00f3loga estudiante del M\u00e1ster en Biolog\u00eda de la Conservaci\u00f3n, ha realizado una investigaci\u00f3n meticulosa sobre el impacto de la basura humana en la mortalidad de peque\u00f1os animales en El Jable. Esta investigaci\u00f3n forma parte de nuestro PROYECTO EN LATA<\/a>, que gracias al valor agregado de la investigaci\u00f3n de Astrid obtuvo el reconocimiento y el apadrinamiento de diferentes instituciones. Durante su trabajo en el campo Astrid encontr\u00f3 varios insectos no voladores a\u00fan sin describir y nos confirm\u00f3 la teor\u00eda que los cuervos prefieren latas de cerveza a las de gaseosa.<\/p>\n

El cuarto estudiante es Joe Cooper<\/strong>, bi\u00f3logo que cursa posgrado en\u00a0 Biolog\u00eda de la Conservaci\u00f3n. Armado con una paciencia infinita y un enorme telescopio binocular Zeiss, ha realizado una investigaci\u00f3n exhaustiva sobre el comportamiento de la avutarda hubara (Chlamydotis undulata fuerteventurae) y las amenazas que ponen en peligro la supervivencia de esta especie.<\/p>\n

Durante varios meses, cada d\u00eda Joe se instalaba en diversos puntos de observaci\u00f3n y pasaba horas observando, principalmente a la especie estudiada, pero tambi\u00e9n otras din\u00e1micas diferentes de El Jable. Estamos esperando ansiosamente el resultado de su estudio, que deber\u00eda estar disponible para fines de 2020.<\/p>\n

Las primeras estudiantes que acogi\u00f3 la Asociaci\u00f3n Viento del Noreste para realizar investigaciones cient\u00edficas en El Jable fueron dos estudiantes de Biolog\u00eda de la Universidad de Ciencias de la Vida de Varsovia, Polonia.\u00a0 Anna Kamilewitz y Joanna \u017babicka<\/strong>, quienes bajo la supervisi\u00f3n del profesor Oglecki realizaron un interesante estudio sobre los valores ornitol\u00f3gicos y las amenazas ambientales de El Jable.<\/p>\n
