Protect, preserve, understand, and conserve…

What's All This About?

Desert Watch is an independent, nonprofit corporation based in Tucson, Arizona (USA). We are a partnership between scientists, private landowners, indigenous peoples, grassroots and national conservation organizations, resource managers, and government agencies dedicated to developing an arid lands conservation strategy for North America.

Desert Watch was formed in 1993 by a group of conservation activists devoted to the preservation, management, and enhancement of wildlife habitat in the Sonoran Desert of North America. Today, Desert Watch serves as an advocate for the benefit of wildlife and for the rights of the public throughout all North American arid regions.
